V Conveyors Can Make Efficient Handling of Cylindrical Products Easy

Cylindrical products are often difficult to transport or accumulate and store on conveyor systems due to the shape of the product. Sensitive cylindrical products can also be damaged or can be caught up on the conveyor, become stuck and in the end cannot be transported efficiently. An innovative means to convey such product is to use two smaller conveyors set in a “V” configuration.

This solution is adaptable to a wide range of product diameters, lengths and weights, and can minimise surface damage due to transport and storage. This system is also cost effective compared to other complex solutions. “V” conveyors can be powered or non-powered and are available as either roller or belt conveyors, and in a variety of materials and surface finishes to suit any application. Lifting devices for loading, unloading and rotating products, along with storage skids and trolleys are also available to complement this conveyor.

Powered “V” conveyor can be configured as simple transport conveyor modules or as accumulation and storage conveyor modules with minimal change required.

The main features of the powered conveyor modules are:

  • Safe and Efficient 24VDC power.
The low voltage 24VDC motor offers safety and low ongoing running costs. The motor drives are efficient when operating and only operated as required and on demand in a staged operation. When compared to other conventional powered conveyor types, significant energy savings of up to 30% can be realised with their use. If your business is looking for a true energy efficient conveyor system solution with less ongoing maintenance and the ability to grow and change with your business, this is the conveyor system of choice.

  • Robust & Unique Gearbox Design operate with high efficiency to improve life expectancy.
The 24VDC motor and gearbox are contained within the roller body and offer low ongoing running and maintenance costs. These drives are both powerful and efficient, and are available in various diameters, configurations, torque and speed ranges.

  • Provides a wide range of Speed and Power using Low Energy.
The 24VDC drives featuring a wide variety of mechanical configurations, produce instantaneous torque, and are available in a wide range of speeds. All this is done using a lot less energy that other conventional drives. The drive controls are modular and allow for a multitude of adjustments that allow the drives to be tuned to any application.
  • Simple and Reliable design, with an IP54 rating.
The design of the motor drive roller is contemporary and can be incorporated into most conveyor types, it looks neat, compact and clean and performs efficiently with minimal maintenance required.
