Handling Solutions

Technical and design solutions have been many and varied from simple order “pick / pack” of split and full case orders out of static storage equipment and delivery via conveyors to “check / weigh” and strapping to despatch, to even more sophisticated picking systems incorporating zone routing of many areas within the warehouse to bar code scanning of order recognition and automated sorting to despatch for consolidation and delivery run routing.

Technical issues such as how to facilitate economical conveyor system design within the warehouse whilst still maintaining movement and flow of bulk stock and forklift trucks throughout are easily overcome in all instances. Movement of cartons, tote bins or even pallets in multi-level storage systems can form part of a smart warehouse design.
