Chain driven roller conveyors are extremely versatile and reliable, providing a host of excellent benefits for materials handling situations.
These conveyors are generally used for short-to-medium length conveyors, transfer cars, shuttles and turning devices. Chain drive is suitable for low-to-medium speed applications while timing belt and ‘V’-belt drives can be used for high speed applications.

When using the belt under roller configuration, the rollers are driven by a belt running below them in direct contact. These units are incredibly quiet and smooth and are excellent for accumulation and buffering.
Belt under roller conveyors can be designed to provide not only ‘low pressure’ accumulation of product, but also ‘zero pressure’ (non-contact) accumulation, where it is desirable for each product on the line to be accumulated without any adjacent product imparting line pressure. These conveyors are the premium solution for low maintenance storage (buffering) between manufacturing cells or marshalling prior to palletising or dispatch.
